Memories of Murders

Infants were running in the borderless field, the sky was clear like the seas, clouds were marshmallows, it was just a regular day. Everywhere was normal except for one particular spot, the ditch beside the dirt road. A female corpse was trapped inside, flies were decaying it. Inspector Park, one of the thousands of police involved with the linked murders, went to the crime scene and inspected the surrounding. Nothing extraordinary about the corpse; victim’s hands were tied up and mouth was covered up with a cloth.

Many suspects had visited Inspector Park for interrogation about the linked murders. The suspects ranged from punks to professionals. Park brought in the victim’s former boyfriend for cross-examination. “You dumped this girl last month, right?” Park roughly asked as he was showing a picture of the victim. “Yeah” former boyfriend replied loosely while he was forced to take off his hat. Nothing special was revealed. Like the hectic Korean Police Department, Park is also troubled by the mysterious and troublesome murders. At the moment he did not have much clue, nothing could be rushed.

When Park was at home spending some leisure time with his wife, Kwak Sul-young, she was remarking orthodox rumours that Park first thought was full of bull crap. “You know the Baek family meat restaurant?” curious Sul-young, “The Baek family?” answered Park. At that moment, he had no idea what was going on with the conversation but Sul-young continued, “You know what people in the town call them?” Park seemed interested. “The lady’s killer. And they have a retarded boy, Kwang-ho. It’s an unfortunate.” Sul- young commented with her monotone. Nothing special… She said, “Kwang-ho used to follow Hyung-sook all the time.” Park wondered is Hyung-sook the victim who got murdered and placed at the ditch and his elegant wife said yes. As Sul-young continued, “Even more important an old woman saw him following her on the day of the murder.” With a sudden shock, Park got up and questioned his wife about it. Then, in matter of seconds, Park rushed to seek for Kwang-ho for interrogation.

While two children were watching the retarded suspect playing in the arcade, Park dragged him to the interrogation room in the Korean Police Headquarters. The interrogation room was definitely a junkyard, it was murky and dirty, it wasn’t a nice place for anyone to spend time in there. Park did not hesitate to ask, “You never intended to kill Hyung-soon, huh?” Kwang-ho simply wiggled his head horizontally to say “no.” “How about touching her breast?” Park asked again. “I couldn’t touch it.” As the questioning continued, Park showed impatience and forced Kwang-ho to reveal the truth, however, he told the hectic officer that he was innocent in the crime. The alleged Kwang-ho was kept inside the unhygienic room for the remaining hours until further notifications.

"If the greatness of a life is measured in deeds done for others, then Canada’s sons and daughters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan stand among the greatest of their generation."- Hamid Karzai

On September 25, 2007, Canada lost another one of its young service men, Corporal Nathan Hornburg, was caught in a mortar barrage as he tried to repair a Leopard Tank that had fallen victim to Afghanistan’s notorious terrain. He was a lion on the battlefield, His job was not an easy one, as a member of an Armoured Recovery Team he traveled the roads and valleys of Afghanistan trying to repair other Armoured Vehicles all while being under heavy fire from insurgents lurking in the bushes. The battlefield is often known as a place where the young lose their innocence. The men and women in uniform lay down there lives every day; there stories of courage, sacrifice and lost youth often go un-noticed.

Everyday young men and women in uniform with rifles at the ready, do their best to free a world gone half mad, but when the roll is called and a name goes unanswered the tears start to flow; their hearts fill with pain and sorrow, and whether it be an American, British, Canadian, Dutch or Slovak it does not matter, in a profession of arms so small each person wearing the uniform pays tribute to another person in green. These brave warriors do what most people don’t want to. Time after time; they put their lives on the line; as they die so does the country and its people as we say good bye another of our children. It’s a vicious cycle and the only thing that keeps them going is the support from people back home. They care not for politics or policy the only thing they care about is surviving one more day in a living movie.

Man, this society is totally fucked up. Last night I was doing my daily car maintenance outside of my house. I was doing pretty well until I found out some jackass stole my car's oil tank cap and tried to recall whether if I misplaced it or not. However, I recalled my parents and I did not fill up the oil tank for the past two weeks so there was no way that it suddenly disappeared on its own. Seriously, people are so fucking cheap these days; a cap barely cost twenty bucks and they wasted time and effort to steal one off from me. The theif better hope I don't see him around my lawn ever again, he's gonna get his ass MURKED.

September 11, 2007 is definitely a sad and solemn day for the citizens of the United States of America; it marks the sixth anniversary when over 3,000 people lost there lives in the attacks at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Pennsylvania. However, the event did not stop several rappers to release their albums to the public; Kanye West’s “Graduation” and 50 Cent’s “Curtis”. No doubt, Fiddy (a.k.a. 50 Cent) and Kanye West are well-respected within the rap industry, however both rappers made a bet in early August.

50 cent, the 31 year old rapper told the media that if Kanye West's new album titled Graduation sold more copies than his own album the rapper will resign from the music industry. Many critics said 50 Cent is a total poot butt in the rap industry, he has respect for his work but he's merely a dumbass. It's giving me a creeping crud when talented artist’s like 50 Cent starts some bullshit so that he can boost up his own sales; 50 Cent is either afraid that his sales won’t match his profit or he’s just a complete moron .

On the other hand, Kanye West is the true player in the game. On the debut of his new album Gradation, West told the reporter that he doesn't want Fiddy to quit his job even if he loses the sales war. It was for the sake of music.

Nevertheless, 50 Cent was invited to BET's 106 And Park to talk about his new album and his duel with Kanye West. He said, "It’s big for hip hop for us to be coming out on the same day, but Kanye West doesn’t stand a chance." The 31 year old rapper has been a snub and loud-mouth since the dispute between the two artists started and West is just keepin’ his composure.

At the moment, Kanye West's Graduation is leading Fiddy's Curtis by a huge margin. When the reporter told Fiddy in the interview that Curtis is falling behind, he questioned, "Where are you getting your sources, I think it's all false information." On the other hand, West kept his cool.

No matter who wins, the winner will be ballin' on the streets and the loser will be jumping on the couch on Oprah's show.

Pce!
